Launching the first projects of the Zakat Fund in Rashaya
Mufti Hijazi: The presence of institutions in the region is the title of a bright stage
Under the patronage of the Mufti of Rashaya, Sheikh Dr. Wafiq Muhammad Hijazi, the foundation stone was laid for the Dar Al-Shifa Medical Center, which is the first of the service, health, investment, educational and religious projects in the Rashaya district for the Zakat Fund in the region. The ceremony was attended by MP Yassin Yassin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zakat Fund in Lebanon, Consul Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Jawzo, Director General Sheikh Zuhair Kabi, a group of scholars and clerics, and a number of politicians, dignitaries and figures from the region.
Dr. Burhan Farhat began by welcoming the guests, speaking about the importance of this clinic for the people of the region, stressing that the will to do good is the basis for launching this health development project for the people of the region, appreciating the efforts of the Mufti of Rashaya, the Fund Committee and all the good people.
Then, Sheikh Kabi spoke, praising the Mufti of Rashaya for his efforts and role, and the role of the Zakat Fund Committee and donors in Lebanon and abroad, stressing that the main concern of the Zakat Fund is charitable relief and development work and providing all assistance to the regions. In turn, Consul Al-Jawzo thanked the Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, the main sponsor of the Zakat Fund, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Derian, and His Eminence Mufti Hijazi for his tremendous efforts for the region and its people. He pointed out that the Zakat Fund in Beirut is not only for Beirut, but for all of Lebanon, and it works with a vision according to a constructive strategy and cooperates with the regions and is open to the outside, and friendly Arab and Islamic institutions, stressing that it is necessary to help the regions and stand by them, considering that strengthening the social safety net is one of the most prominent goals of the Zakat Fund, especially in the medical field, expressing his happiness with this wonderful and blessed work, thanking everyone who contributed to this work, especially the residents and expatriates of the region. Mufti Hijazi said in his speech: Because we believe that love of the homeland is part of faith and it requires us to stand with our people, especially in their aspirations and longing for social, educational and health care institutions, the first fruits of this approach were the Zakat Fund Clinic in Rashaya Dar Al-Shifa Medical Center.
He stressed that the needs of our society are many, the aspirations of our people are great, the support of the charitable is great, and the keenness of those who are jealous for Lebanon is intense, and this is a good omen and a great incentive for the establishment of institutions that stand with the people. The reality in Lebanon due to the political, living and health conditions requires us to work diligently, and this is our duty and the duty of every jealous person to stand with this path.
