Under the slogan "We celebrate together", the Zakat Fund holds a celebration honoring the elderly of the Islamic Home for the Aged
On the occasion of Eid al-Adha and under the slogan "We celebrate together", the Zakat Fund in Lebanon, at the invitation of the Revenue Development Committee, and in cooperation with the Islamic Home for the Aged, held a celebration honoring the elderly of the home, in the presence of the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Samer Al-Safah, the Director General, Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Sheikh Zuhair Kabi, and the members: Shafiq Al-Halabi, Abdul Latif Itani, and Nisreen Farhoud, and the head of the media office, Sheikh Yahya Abu Shaar. The celebration included a Prophet's birthday, religious songs, and the distribution of Eid hospitality as well as valuable gifts to all attendees. Then, a lunch was held in honor of the elderly in the home's garden. The beginning of the welcoming speech by the Director General of the House, Dr. Badr Zidane, in which he stressed the pioneering role of the nursing home in serving the elderly and the disabled and the necessity of cooperation and coordination between humanitarian institutions to serve the people, considering the Fund's attention to the home and its guests a kind gesture that reaffirms once again that Dar Al-Fatwa and its institutions are an umbrella under which we all take shelter, thanking the Chairman and members of the Board of Trustees of the Zakat Fund for this initiative. In turn, the Director General of the Fund, Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Sheikh Zuhair Kabi, conveyed the greetings of His Eminence the Mufti of the Lebanese Republic to the house and its elders, and stressed that integration between institutions is a basic requirement to ensure the continuity of the development of institutions and their leadership, and that the Fund was, is and will continue, God willing, to serve society, its institutions and its people, directing his greetings to the nursing home and its administrators for their good hospitality and kind cooperation with the Fund's invitation to honor our elderly and the disabled, who are goodness and blessing. For his part, the Chairman of the Revenue Development Committee, Mr. Shafiq Al-Halabi, praised in his speech the care role played by the home and the remarkable development it is witnessing, through which it has become one of the institutions that provide its distinguished care and hospital services to the elderly, the disabled and those with special needs, wishing it continued brilliance, prosperity and development.
